Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in India. The major software update brings Android 17, new Galaxy AI experiences, and improvements designed to make everyday smartphone usage more convenient.
The update is available for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with firmware version F956BXXU4EZIH. The update package is approximately 3.72GB, so users should connect to a Wi-Fi network before downloading it.
According to the update screen, the new software includes the September 5, 2026 security patch, which brings security improvements to supported Galaxy devices.
One UI 9 focuses on making Galaxy AI more helpful through intuitive experiences that simplify everyday tasks, support creativity, and help users stay connected. Samsung also notes that its applications can be updated to their latest available versions after installing the software.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 users in India can check for the update by opening Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Since this is a major software upgrade, users should back up important data and ensure their devices have sufficient battery before installation. The rollout may reach eligible devices in stages, so some users might need to wait before the update appears.
